LOOKING FOR AN AWARD WINNING FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER IN ESSEX?

HOORAH, YOU’VE FOUND ONE!

FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY IN BISHOPS STORTFORD, HARLOW, CHELMSFORD AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

Family Photography is one of the most important genres. It captures your family as a snapshot of that time, when the kids had gappy teeth, when they laughed freely or when the grandparents were still here. We are all guilty of putting it off and before you know it, another year has passed. If Covid taught us one thing, it was the importance of family and never knowing when circumstances might change. As an award winning family Photographer in Essex, I love to capture families, big or small, young or old and capture the memories of how we looked, laughed and interacted with each other. A great family picture will never grow old, it freezes time and preseves memories and only becomes more special over time. My studio is ideal for small family portraits but for larger groups of freedom loving toddlers, I suggest an outdoor session where you can all have fun, relax and enjoy the session.

AWARD WINNING FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY ESSEX

I offer Family Photography in either my home studio in Essex, just outside of Bishops Stortford, or in a lifestyle setting i.e. a park, forest or favourite location. I’ve photographed all over Essex but some of my favourite locations are Epping Forest, Hylands House, Pishiobury Park or Hatfield Heath.

I love to photograph outside in the Spring or Autumn as this is when the colours and flowers are best, but nothing quite beats a beautiful studio portrait too, so whichever look you are after, just let me know!

GOT SOME
QUESTIONS?
How many can I have in my family portrait?

My studio issn’t very big so for studio portraits I limit to 6. For outside portraits, I’m happy to accomodate any number of people.

What should I wear to my family portrait session?

In order to create timeless images, I suggest plain (not heavy logos or branded items) and also neutral colours rather than bright or heavily patterned items. However, if this is your style then I am more than happy for you to wear whatever you like and feel most represents you as a person! It is however, a good idea to coordinate across all your family so you all have a common theme.

What time is best for outside family pictures?

I prefer to photograph outside when the sun is lower in the sky. This means either early morning or late afternoon. Obviously this will depend on the time of year as the sun sets earlier in winter. The worst time for family photography is around midday as the shadows are less flattering. Please also consider if you have youn ger children, they are generally happier and less tired in the morning!

Can I bring my dog to my family portrait session?

Dogs are family too so your furry friends are always welcome!

What if it rains and we have booked an outside session?

If it rains on your family photography day then I am happy to reschedule. None of us enjoy getting wet (except perhaps toddlers in wellies and muddy puddles!)

How many outfit changes can I have?

For a studio session, I would suggest bringing 2-3 changes of outfits, or at least a variety of tops to mix up your looks.
