Bump to Baby – Introducing baby Savanna and her lovely parents

I first met Savanna’s Mummy on a photography course – she’s a fellow photographer and like all good photographers, we were investing in some training to improve our skills! A few months later she got in touch to say that they were expecting a baby and could they book me for their newborn session! In fact, we actually ended up with both a maternity and a newborn session and both were amazing!

For the bump shoot we opted for a lifestyle session and took advantage of the beautiful autumn colours! Autumn is absolutely one of my favourite times for both family photography and pregnancy shoots because of the colours and the low sun. We weren’t disappointed that day and we had the perfect recipe for a fun and natural session in the Harlow Town park.

Savanna arrived a few months later and I couldn’t wait to go and meet her at just 8 days old! She has the most amazing hair for new baby and her skin was so perfect. She gave us some super cute smiles and was happy to pose on the bean bag and in my props for her whole session. We finished off the shoot with some pictures of both Savanna and her proud parents, which I’m sure by now will have pride of place in their new home. I even got Jonathan to smile – a feat to be proud of as apparently he’s not a fan of being infront of the camera, haha!

I loved Savanna’s shoot from start to finish and we had great fun choosing colours and props that her parents loved and would suit her. She slept like an absolute dream and we got some great shots. Please do note that the one with her head in her hands is a composite shot – no baby will pose like that unaided and she was in good hands the whole time (I’m just a photoshop genius!).

If you are considering a pregnancy or a newborn photography shoot then please don’t hesitate to get in touch! Bump shoots can be done at any time during the second or third trimester and I offer newborn sessions within the first 2 weeks after birth, so its best to get in touch before then so I can get you booked in the diary for when little one actually arrives!

Enjoy! xx
